The MiseryIndex app gives you a glimpse of the current economic conditions as measured by the Misery Index, along with the ability to view what the index was dating back to 1948, either by year or on a monthly basis. The Misery Index was created by economist Arthur Okun by adding the unemployment rate to the inflation rate.
The data used in this app is obtained from the U.S. Department of Labor and Financial Trend Forecaster (InflationData.com).
